Celebrating Friends in February
Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight,
a sweet friendship refreshes the soul.(Proverbs 27:9).

February is the month for love. I love girlfriends!
A few months ago, I wrote about how much I enjoy my small group Bible study—seven women who are all as different as night and day. They are a sweet fellowship that refreshes my soul. |
So, for the month of February, I want to share my love of friendship—a true gift from the hand of God. I will be blogging about my various friends. (Of course, the names will be changed to protect the guilty and innocent.) Check out my blog at http://www.susannescheppmann.blogspot.com.
As we enter February, the month of love, let’s remember our best friend—Jesus. Ponder the following verses and consider how you can deepen your love for Christ.
A friend loves at all times.
(Proverbs 17:17a NIV)
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
(Proverbs 18:24b NIV)
And here is how to measure it—the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends. You are my friends if you obey me. I no longer call you servants, because a master doesn't confide in his servants. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. (John 15:13-15 NLT)
Consider the truth of these verses, and then run into the arms of Jesus.
