“A Reflection of
God Glory”
by Susanne Scheppmann
“How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures . . . May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works. (Psalm 104:24, 31)
Modern technology is amazing. I remember as a child watching high-speed photography of a flower that budded and bloomed. The photography captured days of nature’s movement and beauty, so that in a few minutes I could see and understand what took place in my garden.

No Matter Where We Go
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:1-2 (NIV)
Last month I spoke at a retreat in the majestic Zion National Park in Utah. The hand-hewn pole lodge was rustic, but sophisticated. I experienced the glory of God in nature, including a friendly spider residing in my closet.
The next weekend I taught at an old convent with dormitory-style bed and restroom facilities. The building dated back to the 1930’s. Its quaint charm promoted God’s peace and serenity. A monk, Barnabus, hustled around, making sure we were supplied with bedding, food and a gentle smile. |

This month I will be speaking in Colorado, which, in my opinion, is God’s country; and in Forest Home, California, where the retreat coordinator has contracted for a replica of the Old Testament tabernacle to be set up for the attendees to walk through and discover Old Testament shadows to New Testament fulfillment.
Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glorious presence of the Lord filled it.
- Exodus 40:34 (NLT)
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- John 1:14(NIV)
No matter where we are, God’s presence is there—if we will only open our eyes. Where will you find yourself this month? Watch for Jesus to show up!
